IDEO multidisciplinary project team was commissioned to conduct innovative research on the new workplace's utilization rate and satisfaction.
High-tech monitoring isn't permitted. How can visual design toolkits boost survey participation?
How to design a visual identity that meets brand guidelines and multi-channel usage scenarios?
Design Scope
This research project involved both online and offline participants, necessitating diverse research methods and touchpoints. I was responsible for designing the visual identity and UX components that could be effective in various contexts.
Color Guidelines
Harmonization and Attention: Use bold, high-contrast colors to harmonize with surroundings and effectively capture attention.
Theme Differentiation: Assign unique color schemes to represent different themes clearly.
Illustration & Icons
Brand Alignment: Used flat, exaggerated forms with textured details to reflect Nike’s dynamic, bold, and modern aesthetic.
Icon Consistency: Created an extension series of icons that maintain simplicity and ensure clear, consistent information delivery.
Posters
Each poster features unique illustrations and color schemes tailored to different spaces and themes.
Survey Component
Designed for mobile use cases, the survey component features diverse selection styles such as cards, buttons, and drag sliders, aiming to enhance engagement through interactive elements.

Design Elements
Alongside the main illustrations, I developed minimal geometric patterns inspired by the office building's features. These patterns extend the design system for use on office products, clothing, and other items.
Say Something
Managing this project in just one week was a big challenge. While creating visually appealing illustrations and UI designs was key, the real focus was on delivering accurate information and boosting user engagement to support the research goals.
Juggling different platforms, use cases, and collaborating with the research team pushed me to think deeply about the user, which helped me grow a lot. The project hasn’t launched yet, but I’m excited to hear client feedback and keep improving the work!
